This site is the home of X-Bomber the Game. 
It has expanded over the years to host a large collection of Star Fleet / X Bomber material and fan artwork, as well as a host of other materials.

Technical Info

The site runs using PHP 8.2 and MySQL.
It makes widespread use of the PHP dynamic image resizer: SLIR, and the JavaScript Lightbox 2 script to display images.
The site serves HTML 4.01 Transitional with quite a few HTML 5 elements, CSS 2.1 and embedded fonts.

The site uses cookies only to the extent that it stores your theme settings so that you don't have to keep changing when you next visit the site.
The SFXB forum uses cookies in order to preserve user logins across sessions and the site piggybacks this login cookie to personalise the site a little.

The site is designed to run under on practically any browser. It even works well on Windows Mobile's Spartan Edge browser, for example.
The only thing that prevents it from working with even older browsers is that the site forces SSL encryption.
I take the view that forcing the encryption of data in flight, which might include usernames and passwords for the forum, is more important than backwards compatibility with very old browsers.
